like a war-torn lover's portrait
or a widowed mermaid
staring at the reflective jetsam of her prince's descended ship
you, too, can appear wistful, antiquated, and forlorn

while blaming your blemishes and other facial imperfections on
not one
not two
not three
not four
not five
not six
but seven tarnished mirrors

and a small but critical chalk board

$698

Don't be critical that the chalk board is critical -- it was raised in a cold and demanding household and doesn't know any better.

Do not attempt this decor in an earthquake-prone area. Forty-nine years bad luck.

Too bad it's one of a kind. I want one for every room!

Do you think the antique magnifying glasses are to make up for the fact that none of these mirrors are awesome modern magnification mirrors for putting on your makeup in the morning? A girl has to be practical, even while being wistful.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who's the most melancholy of us all?

You never fail to amaze me. I'll read your listing, then click through to see what part of this crazy thing is actually for sale, only to delight in finding out that THAT is actually what's for sale. Anthropologie is just a bunch of marketing geniuses, and you should really be ashamed of yourself for drawing back the Wizard of Oz's curtain like that! Bless you.
