I am certain this is exactly what Monet had in mind when he was painting his masterpieces!

Same for this one. Same hair; uglier dress!

Wow,I guess only the comments from your adoring acolytes stay up here...seriously, if you are going to decry others' works it makes sense to invest in dictionary and grammar

The real Anthropologie has one-up on your mean-spirited blog - they don't delete comments from people who don't like the clothes, but you DO delete comments from people who don't like your blog posts... Who is living in a more isolated dream-world, you or Anthro?

Dear Nameless Coward,

Thank you for your spelling correction. Constructive criticism is always welcome and appreciated. Having changed my embarrassing misspelling, I felt no need to leave your comment posted - it became irrelevant with the correction. Plus you wrote some very discouraging, negative words that hurt my feelings. For the record, I love Anthropologie and I am a fan of their thoughtful design and the new bohemian culture they have mastered. I think they make some grave missteps, as any fashion design corporation does, and my parody blog exists to call these out as well as laugh about this "free-spirited" "artist" culture that has become very expensive and takes itself too seriously. Please understand that Anthroparodie is little more than free entertainment. If you don't care for my blog, then by all means stop reading it. As I said, I appreciate feedback and take it to heart, but please don't personally insult me in the future.

kisses,
Anthroparodie

PS: Would you pay $300 for this dress? DID you?

I love the parodies and laugh at the spoofs. Why is it hard for some weird, mean spirited people to react with such venom? It is meant in good spirit and humor! I love it!

It becomes ridiculous to spoof others when you yourself are making egregious spelling, grammar & word usage mistakes...it comes off as smug. I used to enjoy this blog as a joke on Anthro's excesses but I will take your suggestion and stop reading it - it has moved from spoof to ridicule, and the ridicule reeks of envy...
And no I can't afford ANYTHING that Anthro sells, esp. not this dress, but if you want to condemn merchandise for being overpriced there are a lot better places to start. Anthro is pretty open about who they are targeting and it is not the bohemian artist types at all - it's the educated, married, well to do ladies maybe you wish you were?

And for the record if you are interested my name is Jennifer Dowling, I just didn't come up with a cute nickname for myself like "doodle bean" or "nonny mus" and I don't have a google ID...

Jennifer,
I would like for this blog to be as readable and enjoyable as possible. Could you please point out some more of my egregious spelling, grammar, and word usage mistakes so that I may correct them? Thanks for your feedback about the direction this blog has taken. I hope to avoid mere ridicule in the future.

thank you,
Anthroparodie

Hey Jennifer, So sorry you don't like my username! How about if you stop reading my comments... and this blog.

That'll take care of that little problem of yours right away!

P.S. db, don't you know that one spelling miskake dooms you to Jennifer's eternal scorn?

She, of course, never makes any mistakes!

Love your blog, keep up the good work!

Jennifer Dowling,
It seems that you felt badly about someone spoofing the well to do, educated, married ladies, which you said that you believed Anthopology targeted. It really seemed to push your buttons! And when there was a spelling error on top of it, that seemed to really upset you.

Hey db, I love your blog just as it is. Don't let a single troll make you change a thing!

And Jennifer, I'm sure you're great fun at parties:

"I don't like your name! You just made a grammatical error! What's the matter with you? Are you stupid?"

P.S. If you are lovefelines2003, I meant what I said. Do what I recommended!

I love the blog too! And have missed you recently. Keep up the spoofing. There's so much to make fun of, including this: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/home-bedding/24507212.jsp

Or maybe we could see the return of Hootie?: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?navAction=jump&id=973385&parentid=SEARCH_RESULTS&color=010
